This post was inspired by my son who loves geography and food. For his 13 birthday, he wanted to visit as many international markets as we could in one day to gather up all his favorite snacks. We also had his favorite lunch, Pho. We hope this post inspires you to get out and enjoy exploring the bounty of international markets in our area.
Filipino Asian Mart

Once you step inside this mart, you’ll discover a wide range of Filipino and Asian goods. This place offers a variety of Filipino snacks, frozen foods, and pantry staples as well as household items and clothing inspired by Filipino culture. You will be welcomed by the very kind owner who will make sure that you get everything that you need. The food here is fresh and authentic–you should definitely try their adobo, lumpia, and egg rolls!
International Foods

This is one of our favorite shops where we go quite often. International Foods is the place to go for all your halal Indian, Mediterranean, and Pakistani food needs. From exotic fruits and vegetables to international spices and sauces, this store offers a diverse selection of global foods and ingredients that you won’t find anywhere else. Their tea selection is also outstanding!
Manpasand Indian Pakistani Halal Groceries Supermarket
13945 North, 183 Lakeline Mall Dr, Austin
Manpasand is the place to go for high-quality Indian and Pakistani groceries. The produce, spices, and meats are all halal; they also have a wide selection of prepared foods, snacks, and desserts. Their fruits and veggies taste fresh, too! You can order ready-to-eat meals at their food stalls inside the market. This is a weekly stop for me to get spices, paneer, and easy-to-make frozen foods for a quick and tasty dinner.

This Korean-American supermarket offers customers a wide variety of Korean foods, including fresh produce, seafood, meats, packaged foods and more. The seafood department has live fish and shellfish, mussels and clams, and frozen squid. Their staff are friendly and helpful. Inside the same building is the Food Court with numerous vendors for ready-to-eat meals and a seating area is provided. Hmart also offers a vast selection of Korean skincare and beauty products, a fun K-Pop shop, a hair salon, arcade games, and occasionally live music in the food court.
